Architectural Analysis & Design Optimization

​We don't just copy and paste architectural lines. We dissect the design intent to map out a structural plan.

​Constructability Review: We analyze the architect’s drawings to identify any weak points, impossible spans, or structural conflicts before they reach the shop floor.

​Value Engineering (VE): Using our production background, we look for ways to optimize material yield and simplify construction methods to save you time and material costs without compromising the visual design.

Material & Hardware Integration Engineering

A drawing is only as good as its real-world components. We engineer around the exact hardware and materials your shop utilizes.

​Hardware Tolerances: We pre-engineer perfect clearance paths and structural backings for high-end kinetic hardware, heavy-duty drawer slides, concealed hinges, and integrated LED lighting tracks.

​Substrate Considerations: Whether engineering for standard ply, lightweight cores, MDF, or solid wood, we adjust our joinery and expansion tolerances to match the exact physical characteristics of the material.

Production-Method Mapping (Shop Alignment)

Every woodshop handles fabrication differently. We engineer the drawing package to speak your shop's native language.

​Machine-Specific Machining: We design with your preferred construction style in mind—whether your shop runs on blind dados, dowel construction, dowel-screw configurations, or traditional pocket screws.

​Tooling Awareness: Because we know CNC programming intimately, we map out parts with proper radii allowances for standard router bits, ensuring parts don't require manual chiseling or clean-up during assembly.

Installation & Field Coordination Engineering

​The greatest shop drawing is a failure if the finished product can't physically be brought into the building or installed cleanly. Our extensive on-site installation experience guides this entire phase.

​Scribe & Field Allowances: We engineer intelligent, hidden scribe margins and oversized filler pieces where the millwork meets uneven drywall, concrete, or historical architectural elements.

​Logistics & Breakdown Planning: We break massive units (like large reception desks or floor-to-ceiling feature walls) into logical, transportable sections. We engineer seamless, hidden mechanical joints (like alignment splines or draw-bolts) so the installation crew can reassemble them flawlessly on-site.

​Blocking & Anchoring: We explicitly detail the exact wall-blocking and internal framing requirements so your installers know exactly where to anchor the units safely and securely.
